Who Answers When You Call
Major League Response is a Sylmar restoration and mitigation company founded in 2026 by Carlos Garcia, who brings more than ten years in the restoration industry.
Major League Response was founded in 2026 by Carlos Garcia. The company is new. The work is not. Carlos brings more than ten years in the restoration industry to it, and we make the distinction between those two facts deliberately, because a company that lets you assume it has been operating for a decade has already told you something about how it handles everything else.
The company exists to do property damage restoration for homeowners and businesses across Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley, with clear communication, proper documentation, and work that holds up from the first emergency call to the end of the job. That purpose is deliberately unglamorous. In this industry the differentiator is not equipment, because everyone owns the same fans. It is whether somebody shows up, tells you the truth about what they found, writes it down, and comes back the next day.
Our technicians hold four IICRC certifications. Water Damage Restoration. Applied Microbial Remediation. Fire and Smoke Restoration. Odor Control. Those are technician-level credentials and we describe them that way, because the Institute also issues a firm-level designation that we do not currently hold and will not claim. Most companies in this market write the four letters and stop there. The specific certifications are what tell you exactly what the person standing in your house was trained to do.
We are a restoration and mitigation company, which is a narrower thing than a company that claims to do everything. We extract water, dry structures, clean, remediate mold, take out odor, and handle contents. The work that puts a building back together afterward is a different trade with its own state license, and we say so on the first visit rather than letting you find out on day four. Being clear about that boundary costs us some jobs. It also means nobody hires us under a misunderstanding.
The same principle runs through how we talk about insurance. We document losses, prepare estimates for our own scope, and can bill a carrier directly for our services. We do not act as your adjuster, and our insurance page states those limits in the plainest language we could write. In California that boundary is a legal line rather than a preference, and a company that blurs it is creating a risk for you as well as for itself.
We dispatch around the clock from Gladstone Avenue in Sylmar and we work in English and Spanish. Sylmar is roughly three quarters Hispanic and the neighborhood next door is closer to ninety percent, so bilingual service here is a working requirement rather than a line in a footer. Every page on this site exists in both languages.
The initial inspection is free, the readings come to you in writing, and the name on the truck belongs to the person who answers for the work.
