Questions People Ask
Straight answers about how we work, what we charge for, and what we do not do.
Do you answer the phone at 2am?
Calls come in around the clock and go straight into emergency dispatch, at any hour and on any day. You get an answer, an arrival window, and a text when the crew is rolling. Water losses do not keep business hours, and the first few hours are the ones that decide how big the job gets.
What does the free initial inspection include?
The free initial inspection is a technician on site finding the full extent of the damage, not a look from the doorway. That means moisture readings on framing and subfloor, thermal imaging to trace where water traveled, a category and class determination for the loss, and a written scope before you agree to anything. If the honest answer is that you do not need us, that is what you will be told.
Can you bill my insurance company directly?
We can bill your carrier directly for our services when the claim and the payment arrangement allow it. We also document the loss, log daily moisture readings, prepare an estimate for our own scope of work, and meet your adjuster on site. You remain responsible for your deductible, and our insurance page explains exactly where our role stops.
How much does this cost?
Cost tracks the affected square footage, the water category, how much material is holding water, and how long drying takes. Anybody giving you a number over the phone is quoting a room they have not seen. You get a written scope after the free inspection, and we take insurance losses and cash-pay work, with credit cards, debit cards, checks, and cash all accepted.
How long will equipment be running in my house?
Most residential drying runs three to five days, and slabs, hardwood, or water inside a wall cavity run longer. The honest version is that nobody knows on day one. After two sets of readings we can show you the drying curve and give you a real estimate, and equipment comes out when the readings meet a dry standard taken from an unaffected part of your own building.
Do you guarantee your work?
Our work is performed according to the agreed scope and applicable restoration standards. That is deliberately not a blanket guarantee, because written warranty terms are still being finalized and advertising terms that do not exist yet helps nobody. What you do get on every job is the measurement record. Daily readings, a dry standard taken from your own building, and the final numbers that closed the file.
What do you not do?
We do not do the work that puts a building back together, we do not perform asbestos or lead abatement, and we do not act as your insurance adjuster. Each of those is a separate trade or a separate state credential, and we identify them on the first visit so you can line them up rather than discovering them halfway through. It is a shorter list than most companies advertise and it is an accurate one.
